MAC News

We are in DESPARATE need to people to help inflate inner tubes for use in the bubble lowering TODAY.  The bubble CANNOT come down without the tubes!  If you have ANY time to devote to this today, PLEASE head over to Hood and find Don Feinberg (start at the bubble).  We could also use a pickup truck or vehicle with a large amount of cargo space to transport the tubes from the Hood maintenance facility to the bubble.  Thanks in advance for your help!

This is the MAC News for Friday, May 9th.

There is a last minute practice schedule change for today that affects AGI (hopefully you all found out about this at practice last night!).  Age Group I will train today with Age Group II from 6:00-8:00 at MIDDLETOWN HIGH SCHOOL.  This is in addition to the practice schedule change that moved Senior Red and Black from Middletown to the Hood indoor pool for tonight.

Don Feinberg is looking for 2 people to help inflate the inner tubes we use to protect the bubble from the lane lines as we lower the bubble and pull it across the pool.  If you are available to help at all tomorrow (Friday) in the morning or during the day, please contact Don at 301-696-3484 OR you could probably just show up at the bubble and lend a hand.

There has been a date mix-up (my fault!) on the last several MAC News Issues.  The MAC biathlon fundraiser will be held on May 31st, not May 24th as has been posted the last few days.  May 24th is the date of the Tri-to-Win triathlon being held at Frederick High for young people ages 7-13 (see previous issues of the MAC News for more info).

This is the MAC News for Thursday, May 8th.

There is a practice schedule change for Friday affecting Senior Red and Black.  On Friday, these groups will train from 4:00-5:30 in the indoor pool at Hood.  At the conclusion of practice, they will help with bubble preparations for about 1 hour.  Arrangements should be made for the swimmers to be picked up promptly at 6:30.  Senior White and Age Group II practice for Friday will remain at Middletown High.

Today is Wednesday, May 7th and this is the MAC News.

There is a minor addition to today's practice schedule.  Any interested Age Group II swimmer may train with Age Group I today from 6:00-7:45 at Middletown High School.

The bubble lowering is this Saturday, beginning at 8:00 am.  All practices for Saturday are cancelled allowing for as much help as possible.  Please come when you can and stay as long as you are able.

Everyone should have received their 2nd trimester bill by now.  If you have not received yours or if you have any questions about the bill, please contact Fred Manning at fredmanning@comcast.net.  Remember, if you pay your bill in installments, the first payment is due by May 15th.
